Free Printable World Travel Map

My family and I travel while I run my company Purveyor of Geekery

About the maps
Printable on US Letter size paper (8.5″x11″ or 21.59cm x 27.94cm) and frameable as an 8″x10″ photo, you’ll need a pdf reader to open. Get one here. Opened with Adobe, you’ll be able to edit the top banner with your family name, child’s name, year, “Our Adventures”…the possibilities are endless. Ok, it’s not that magical, just editable.

The bottom banner features Dr. Seuss’ oh so famous “You’re off to Great Places!Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, So… get on your way!” quote from The Places You’ll Go.

Once printed, you’ll be able to record your travels with stickers, mini photos, signatures, dots, scrapbook elements…however you choose. I love the idea of attaching it to a piece of foam board with spray adhesive and using push pins!

Editing the text

To change the copy and headings, simply double click the text you would like to change.

To remove a heading or copy field, just double click the text you would like to remove, highlight all and hit “delete”)

If you press CTRL E in Adobe Acrobat, the Properties toolbar opens. Place your cursor in the field that you want to edit and select the MORE button (only appears when you are in a form field). From there you can adjust the font, text size, line spacing, etc.

If your printer has an option that allows you to print to the edge of the paper, choose that, otherwise you will have white margins.

    Hi Shell,
Love this idea but am having trouble downloading. Every time I click on the world map to download it just takes me back to the same blog post. Am I missing something?
But thank you anyway for this lovely idea.

Are you clicking the image (download files) or the text link below the image (goes to a page in my site)? Try right clicking the image and choose “save link as” then saving it to your computer that way?

I LOVE this map. Is there anyway I could order a custom size from you?

Is there a way to print this as 11×14?
