Free Printable Travel Maps from I Heart Family Travel

***NOTE: Links to the download pages are at the bottom of the page. I created an additional map since Pinterest took a liking to my USA Map and turned this into the landing page for both so you wouldn’t miss out.***

I woke up with the urge to be giving today, and to make some awesome travel maps. Without further ado:  Free Printable Travel Maps from I Heart Family Travel! You are welcome! 😀

About the maps
Printable on US Letter size paper (8.5″x11″ or 21.59cm x 27.94cm) and frameable as an 8″x10″ photo, you’ll need a pdf reader to open. Get one here. Opened with Adobe, you’ll be able to edit the top banner with your family name, child’s name, year, “Our Adventures”…the possibilities are endless. Ok, it’s not that magical, just editable.

The bottom banner features Dr. Seuss’ oh so famous “You’re off to Great Places!Today is your day!Your mountain is waiting, So… get on your way!” quote from The Places You’ll Go. That isn’t editable, but if you would like it change, I can create a custom map for you via Geekling Books.

Once printed, you’ll be able to record your travels with stickers, mini photos, signatures, dots, scrapbook elements…however you choose.

    Hi.
This is a beautiful page with awsome ideas.
I´m trying to make one of this maps of the US as a gift for my dad but I dont know how to make those colorful lines to indicate the place where we will travel.
I have to make them or someone is the one who makes it
    I need help.
    Thanks

    • Shell

Laura, once you print it out you can use scrapbooking elements to create them, or if you do digital scrapbooking you can open it in Photoshop and add them there. Alternatively, if you contact me on etsy here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/purveyorofgeekery if you would like me to personalize it for you. Hope this helps! Shell

  10. Erin

How do I put dots on the places to create those lines etc?
Thank you!!! I want to track our honeymoon adventures. 🙂

    • Shell

  14. EMILY PARSONS

How do we download the worldmap? It wont allow me to do it on adobe… can you email we a copy?

    • Shell

The link is for the pdf reader, scroll down to find the link to the download page for the maps.

  15. Krisztina

Thanks for sharing. I have the same problem like Dee. Cannot download:(( Also being from Europe, do you think I can adjust the size to A4 format?

    • Shell

Have you clicked the image at the bottom of the page? It will take you to the download page for the map of your choice. You can download it from the download section there. It should work on your printer, it will just give you a warning that it will cut off some of the image but the important elements are centered in the middle 8″x10″ so if it does, it shouldn’t be an issue. It will not fit in an 8×10″ frame if you choose “shrink to fit, though. Hope this helps!

    • Shell

      Krisztina,

I have A1 sizes in the shop now, too if you are looking for something larger. http://is.gd/8ym3Gi

Hi, Thanks for making this. I am wondering if you are willing to edit the bottom banner for us? We are wanting to use this to map our missionaries and pray for them during kids’ Sunday School hour. I could send you the Korean language text if you think this is possible. Thanks so much.

  24. Rachel

Love this!! We are a military family and have traveled all over the world! I am wondering if there’s a way to add text blocks near each place we’ve called HOME to write the dates we lived there and which duty station (e.g. Fort Sill, OK 2003-2006), which child was born, etc. Just a suggestion!! 🙂

  25. Valerie

Wondered if you’d be willing to make one focused on the United Kingdom? We’re on a 2-year relocation here thanks to hubbies job and would love to store our expat travel adventures on a map. I can order/pay through your Etsy store if you’d be willing. Thanks! This is a fantastic idea. 🙂

    • Shell

  28. Chris Spenceley

Ran across your stuff on pinterst today, really great , thanks for offering it everyone. My family and I did a trancontinental trip back in 2010 from PEI Canada to BC, down to LA and back home on and off RT66 to Chicago , to CT to some friends and then home again. Your US map is ideal – would you be able to do a Canada version to pair with th US to map out our whole journey? Thanks Again.

    • Shell

      Hi Chris,

I’ve added a few to the shop so far and will get a Letter sized version up later today: http://is.gd/nd6Bkj

  29. Kelly

These look awesome–our family just took a big road trip last year that would make these great to give to my boys. The problem is that the download buttons are taking me in circles , and nothing wants to download. What am I doing wrong?

  30. Adventure Family In Motion

These are great! I also found you on Pinterest! LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Thank you for these!!

Hi I feel silly but is it the big green button on the right or is that something that leads to an ad? I am bit afraid of clicking on unknown buttons for fear of viruses!

    • shell

I’m guessing it is probably an ad. I don’t think there is a big green button on this page. If it has this symbol in the top left corner of the it is an ad: Ad symbol, or if it changes after you refresh page a few times it is an ad.
